From the artist: This photo was taken in New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY. I am sure that music and dance can connect the people and bring a lot of joy. In this picture, the beautiful dancers complement the beautiful cherry blossom trees.

Leonid Tarassishin is a Senior Associate Researcher at the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences. In his spare time (outside of research), he loves photography, nature, reading and traveling. From early spring to late fall, he and his wife have visited and enjoy the parks, gardens and preserves in New York and all around the city, and he tries to preserve by camera these wonderful moments of the meeting with nature.
