A eulogy to my grandfather

From the artist: These photos are a series from my birthplace in South Korea when I went to see my grandfather pass from this world. It was a sad experience, but it was a good experience because I saw the roots that he had planted for me.
My roots are so far from where I am today in America. But when times are hard I am reminded of them and remember who I was, who I am, and who I wish to be one day.
I try to grow my roots and become stronger like my grandfather. With every story that I heard about him after his passing, the roots that began in Korea became stronger and grew deeper with the storm that I experienced from losing him forever.
I will try to cherish him in this way, as I take the roots that he had planted for me and grow into the person that I was meant to be.
