Red Batik

From the artist: Monotype print made with handmade stencils, acrylics and colored pencils, 9 x 12 inches. Although this art uses modern materials, the warm colors and botanical elements suggest batik, a traditional art form using wax and dyes. This art evokes the many colorful fabrics of my Indian cultural heritage.
