Viridian
Acrlyic on canvas, 37 x 26 inch
From the artist: This was the first painting I made after I moved to NYC. I felt a sense of homesickness for the place I grew up in, but also an excitement and belonging to this new place I now call my home.
It's Always Sani in My Life
Acrylic on canvas, 20 x 16 inch
From the artist: My husband Sani asked me to paint this picture inspired by a photograph he saw. This piece is special to me because Sani has always loved and supported my art, and I felt that this painting was particularly sacred between the two of us (evidenced by his hand holding it up in the photo - the way he holds me up in real life).
